Film Requests

***

EDIT: Comments have been turned off since I am no longer updating this site

***

Welcome to the Request Page!

Please feel free to leave requests for new and/or additional screen-captures and images in the comments below.

Usually new requests are added to the poll found in the side bar, but the system isn't totally democratic and I occasionally bump films to the front of the queue if I'm particularly keen to get them onto the site.
That being said, I'll probably be able to post images for films I already own a bit more quickly (of which a complete list can be found here).

I have a fair collection of movies but I'm always on the lookout for new and obscure period films, so if a request is new to me I'll definitely try to get my hands on it.

Jenn

(Note: At the moment I can only review Region 1/NTSC and Region 2/PAL films on DVD)

  13. I think that The Buccanners, the film version of Edith Wharton's last novel (unfinished) is one of my faves and has some of the best high Victorian costumes I've ever seen. Plus it was filmed partly at Castle Howard, which is soooooo gorgeous. And stars Greg Wise....
I have a blog about Period Drama and would love to put a link with yours on my site. Cheers!

  22. I am looking for a gown I saw in a movie in the 1990s. it was a stunning Victorian of black lace with a bustle but tight fitting with a high collar and long sleeves. I can't remember the movie but the scene was a young woman in a room with a desk reading or writing a letter and the detail of the lace was fabulous. Could have been late Victorian or Gibson Girl. Have you ever seen?

  35. Hi!
I really love your blog, it's amazing!
I'm interested in Jane Asher, an actress who portrayed Jane Seymour in Henry VIII & His Six Wives (1972). Can you add more pics of her?
Also she starred, along with Vincent Price and Hazel Court in Masque of the Red Dead (1964).
If you can have "The Four Just Men" (1960), "The Prince and The Pauper" (1962), "Romeo & Juliet" (1963), "The Mill on the Floss" (1965), "The Tempest" (1968), "The Wicked Women" (1970), "The Stone Tape" (1972) and "Hawkmoor" (1977), that could be wonderful!
    There is no hurry :)

    1. Probably not for a long while.
With the update to the new Blogger platform the posts take much longer to format and I just have next to no free time these days! Maybe when the film I'm on wraps up I'll be able to get back to it, but that's not for months yet.
      Sorry!

  47. There's a film called "Princess of Theives" which has a costume I'm trying to make. So if you could get that one, that would be great!
However, I understand you have A LOT of requests!

I love your blog! It has been really helpful for me!

  48. I love this site, but I would like to see a bit more medieval costumes, maybe from things like Pillars of the Earth, or Ivanhoe, and such,. But I would love to see costumes from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Also, I always wanted to know, when you rate a movie, are you rating the movie or the costumes? Thank you and again, love this site.
